About this site

HugeMathBrain (hugemathbrain.com) offers free math practice puzzles for grades 1 to 12, with hints, worked solutions and printable quizzes. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Not affiliated, not endorsed

HugeMathBrain is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Math Kangaroo (Math Kangaroo in USA and the Kangourou sans Frontières association), the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), including the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) and the USA Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO), the MATHCOUNTS Foundation, the College Board, owner of the SAT, or Mensa, or by any other contest organizer, testing organization, school or education authority. Words such as “Olympiad” and “SAT” are used only to describe the kind of reasoning the problems practise. Every problem here is original: none is taken from any of those contests or tests, and practising here promises no particular contest or test result.

Trademarks

SAT is a registered trademark of the College Board. Kindle is a trademark of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. All other names mentioned belong to their respective owners. Mentioning them does not imply any connection with, or endorsement by, their owners.

Made with AI

Everything on this site is made with artificial intelligence (AI). The problems, hints and solutions are written by an AI model; before a problem is published, two other AI models each solve it independently, and it is published only if both reach the keyed answer and find the problem sound. The pictures are made by an AI image model, or drawn by computer code for charts and diagrams, and each is checked against its problem by an AI model. The material has not been written or reviewed by a teacher or by any contest organization, and mistakes are still possible — please check anything that matters to you. Every page and every quiz says so.

The AI tools used

Writing the problems, hints and solutions: OpenAI GPT models. Checking every answer: each problem is solved independently, and published only if both agree with the answer key: xAI Grok and Anthropic Claude. Drawing the illustrations: OpenAI image models (charts and diagrams are drawn by computer code). Checking every picture against its problem: Anthropic Claude (some earlier checks: Google Gemini). The read-aloud voice: OpenAI text-to-speech. HugeMathBrain is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, xAI, Anthropic or Google.

The read-aloud voice

The read-aloud voice (called “Alice” in the app) is an AI-generated voice, not a human voice. It reads out the problems and solutions as they are written; nothing you do is sent to an AI.

Using the material

You may use the puzzles and the printable PDFs free of charge for your own study and in classrooms, and print copies for your students. Please do not sell them, republish them as your own, or put them behind a paywall without written permission. All other rights are reserved.

Privacy

There are no accounts and no sign-up. The site itself sets no cookies, shows no advertising and loads no analytics or tracking code. Progress lasts only while the page is open; nothing is saved on your device. The server keeps an anonymous count of page opens; for each problem, how many times it was shown, answered and answered correctly, and how many chose each answer; and, for security, a record of attempts to reach pages that do not exist. None of these contains your address or anything else that identifies you (to limit floods, the server remembers how many counts an address sent for ten minutes, in memory only, and never stores it). The site is delivered through Cloudflare, a network service that handles connection data such as IP addresses, and may set its own security cookies, in order to deliver and protect websites.

Children

The site is made for students of all ages. It asks for no personal information, so there is nothing for a child to give away. Parents and teachers are welcome to supervise its use.

No warranty

The site and its content are provided “as is”, for education only, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, HugeMathBrain is not liable for any loss or outcome arising from the use of the site, including test or competition results.
